Baltimore Police said a man was fatally shot Monday in the Northeast District.
Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 4200 block of Nicholas Avenue. Upon arrival, the responding officers found a 22-year-old man who has suffered gunshot wounds to his body.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later, police said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the man was communicating with two unknown suspects, when they brandished a firearm and opened fire. The suspects fled the scene in a white vehicle.
