Alstom Signaling To Lay Off 86 Employees In West Henrietta

Alstom Signaling, Inc. filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the New York State Department of Labor on November 17. The notice indicates the company will relocate manufacturing activities at its facility at 1025 John Street in West Henrietta to Missouri.

Alstom Signaling manufactures signaling systems and products for customers in transit, freight, commuter and railroad markets. The company offers wayside products, including relays, signals, track circuits, switches and interlocking solutions, according to its website.

Employment terminations are expected to begin on or about March 31, 2018. Five employment terminations shall occur on or about July 31, 2018, according to the filing.

Affected employees are represented by the Internal Union of Electronic, Electrical, Salaried, Machine and Furniture Workers/Communications Workers of America, Local #323.
