Ahn Woo-Yeon

Ahn Woo-Yeon is a South Korean actor born on January 7, 1991. Once a stage artist with proven acting skills, he is still known by the stage name “Ahn Woo Yeon.”

Debut

His journey began with a supporting role in 2015 with the web drama Alchemist. After that, he continued to work his full throttle in a series of films. For example, he worked on a couple of movies in 2016: “Five Enough” and “Don’t Dare to Dream.” His journey as an actor followed with TV dramas in 2017 with three movies, namely “Circle,” “Strong Women Do Bong-soon,” and “Age of Youth.”

Recognition

The role in “Circle” was very appreciated and loved. Considering his versatile acting skills, he brought perfection since it was a Sci-Fi drama that had mystery associated. Because it revolves around aliens who visit the earth, and humans find an opportunity to learn new things from them.

A broad genre of roles

His performance in “Age of Youth” gave another reason for him to come out as a mature and professionally viable actor. The drama was about five college students who were supposed to be living in a fictional house. They belong to different walks of life but now share proximity. His performance in “Five Kids” was widely popular as he essayed the role of an elementary school teacher. The way he gave his performance in the broadest possible parts showcased his versatile nature. 

Due to the drama “Tale of a Good Witch,” he was nominated as the Best New Actor in  2018 for his outstanding performance. The year 2018 proved to be unique and extraordinary for him in terms of getting a break on the big screen with the movie “Omok Girl.” Talking about his latest contribution to the movie industry, he has re-affirmed his acting career by providing a fantasy romantic drama, “Scripting Your Destiny,” in 2021.
