Acting U.S. Attorney Soo C. Song announced Thursday 27 defendants from Pennsylvania were indicted on charges of narcotic trafficking. The defendants were charged in related, but separate indictments.

All the defendants have been accused of conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute heroin and other controlled substances. Defendants of the Skyler Carter Indictment allegedly possessed and distributed fentanyl, heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine from March 2017 to August 2017. Defendants of the Corey Jackson Indictment allegedly possessed and distributed cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin from January 2017 to August 2017, according to the indictments.
Corey Jackson, David Stevenson, Jr. and Skyler Carter allegedly had 28 grams of crack cocaine or more in their possession. Jalea and Courtney Carter are charged with maintaining and using a drug involved premises from March 2017 to June 2017, according to court documents.
Allex Brown, Jr. was charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and butyryl fentanyl on February 23, 2017. Tywan Napper is charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin on February 28, 2017, according to the Corey Jackson Indictment.
Corey Jackson, David Stevenson, Jr. and Skyler Carter face maximum sentence up to 40 years imprisonment and/or a $5 million fine. The remaining defendants face a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment and/or a $1 million fine.
