12 Intoxicated Drivers Arrested During Anne Arundel County “Checkpoint Strikeforce”


Maryland State Police conducted a “Checkpoint Strickforce” initiative on Route 450 in Annapolis this weekend. During the three and one-half hour initiative, troopers checked 214 vehicles and arrested 12 drivers for driving under the influence.

Maryland State Police partnered with the Annapolis Police Department, U.S. Naval Academy Police, Maryland Natural Resources Police and Maryland Transportation Authority to execute the operation.

Checkpoint Strikeforce not only educates drivers on the dangers of driving under the influence, but also removes impaired drivers who are a danger to other drivers from the roadways.
