Baltimore Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting in the Southeast District Monday morning.
Around 3:41 a.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 600 block of North East Avenue. At the scene, the responding officers found a 35-year-old man who had been shot in the thigh and buttocks.
The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Due to the victim’s intoxicative and uncooperative state, police were unable to determine where the incident took place.
Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that took place on July 7 in the 3200 block of Spaulding Avenue as Kevin Nixon, 36, of the 400 block of Frederick Avenue.
Nixon was pronounced deceased on September 8, police said.
Update: Baltimore Police has determined the non-fatal shooting in the 600 block of North East Avenue was self-inflicted.
