Baltimore sees another violent weekend as the shootings surged to thirteen across the city. From Saturday evening into early Sunday morning a total of seven people were shot. One of the shootings ended in a fatality, pushing Baltimore’s homicide count to 152 for 2017.
On Saturday night around 10:30 p.m., police responded to a call at the 1400 block of Carroll Street, where a female was found shot in the back, Baltimore Police said.
About an hour and 15 minutes later, police were called to the 1500 block of Ellamont Street in Southwest Baltimore, where a man was shot.
Nearly 45 minutes later, a woman walking near the 1500 block of West Fayette Street in West Baltimore was shot in the stomach. Police found the victim in the 1600 block of Lexington Street in the Franklin Square neighborhood, police said. The woman could not identify the suspect.
Not long after, a man arrived at a local hospital complaining of a gunshot wound. He told police officers that he was shot by an unknown gunman in the 1500 block of West Fayette Street.
Nearly two miles north in the Druid Heights neighborhood, three people were shot at 12:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of McCulloh Street. The first victim was a man, who was shot in the leg. Another victim, a man, had been shot multiple times. Both men were taken to a nearby hospital.
Shortly thereafter, a woman visited an area hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to the back.
The three gunshot victims were probably in the 2100 block of McCulloh Street when they were shot, police said.
Police did not provide any conditions of the victims or release any suspect information.
