The Elk Room cocktail bar opened in the space that formerly housed Ten Ten Amercan Bistro in Harbor East. The establishment will seat 50 patrons and open daily from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The Elk Room hired Rael Petit, a cocktail and bartender consultant based in New York, to create recipes for its cocktail menu. To add a touch of excitement to some of the cocktails, liquid nitrogen, a centrifuge and smoke will be added to the mix.
The bar staff is made up of Andrew Nichols (formerly of The Sandlot), Rob Vogel (Ten Ten) and Shaun Steward (Gunther & Co.).
The food menu features venison tartare, rabbit corndogs, elk tacos, fondue and charcuterie. The new bar’s “one in, one out” policy, requires awaiting patrons to wait outside until other exit the establishment. Those who do not want to wait can visit the Tagliata, an Atlas Restaurant Group bar, just recently opened.
