Prince George’s County Police Investigating Murder Suicide In Upper Marlboro

Prince George’s County Police said a 53-year-old woman shot and killed a 54-year-old man, in what appears to be a murder suicide.

Around 7:54 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 14000 block of New Arcadia Lane for a welfare check. At the scene, the responding officers located a victim who was later identified as Bernard Williams of Miller Avenue in Brooklyn, New York suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The suspect who has been identified as Kiwa Toomer of Upper Marlboro was also found suffering from what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Williams and Toomer were in a relationship, police said. They were both pronounced dead at the scene. Detective had not determined a motive in the case, but the investigation is ongoing.
