A restaurant and café, Amber, is scheduled to open this fall inside the lobby of the Anthem House, a $100 million luxury apartment complex, in Locust Point. Owner Gino Kozera said the 2,000-square-feet restaurant would serve as a “community gathering space” for tenants, locals and visitors.
The 100-seat restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, featuring a light fair menu, 40 craft beers on tap, wine and cocktails.
Kozera, formerly a partner of Pierpoint, a restaurant in Fells Point, said he was attracted to the Anthem House project and decided that it would be the perfect place for his business venture.
“I look at it as a growing community, an upscale community,” Kozera said. “I want to give them a local place that they’ll be able to gather at.”
Twenty people will be hired to staff the restaurant prior to the grand opening.
Anthem house, scheduled to open to residents in June, is located on 900 East Fort Avenue in South Baltimore and features a 20,000 square feet retail space on the ground floor, 292 rental units and 400 parking spaces.
