Baltimore police are investigating an assault that left a man in critical condition. The incident took place in the Federal Hill early Saturday morning, police said.
Around 1:10 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of an assault in the first block of East Cross Street. Upon arrival, the responding offers discovered a 34-year-old man who was unconscious after being physically assaulted, police said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where is has been listed in critical condition.
Police believe the man knew his attackers and the assault stemmed from a verbal argument. They obtained video surveillance footage of the incident and are hoping the people with the victim that night will come forward.
