Driver Charged In July 4 Accident, Leaving Teen Trapped Under Car In Aberdeen

Last week, Aberdeen police charge driver of a vehicle that crashed into a home in Aberdeen on July 4. A teenager asleep on the couch inside the home became trapped under the vehicle.

Thirty-two-year-old Sabrina Bond, of the 600 block of Shirley Drive in the Edgewood neighborhood, is charged with failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision and negligent driving. First responders freed the 16-year-old pinned in the crash and transported him to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment.

She told police a truck following closely behind her swerved around her vehicle, before cutting back in front of her. After a video surfaced, Aberdeen police decided to charge Bond.

She accelerated and over-corrected her steering, which caused her car to jump a curb and crash into the split-level house.

The incident was captured on a security surveillance system from one of the homes in the neighborhood. The neighbor contacted Aberdeen police to make them aware of the video footage.
