Movie enthusiasts are always looking for a new place to watch movies, but they will be surprised to discover that the CineBistro, operated by Cobb Theatres, has much more to offer. The dinner-and-a-movie venue is currently under construction in Hampden. Just the idea of an upscale dinner and a movie afterwards is exciting within itself, but attendees must be willing to pay premium prices. Most consumers are willing to invest more for quality entertainment and dining.
The venue will feature seven theaters, with a holding capacity of between 70 and 100. The theater will open 30 minutes prior to the schedule start. The allotted time will be sufficient for ordering meals and having them delivered.
The CineBistro chain’s vice president, Fred Meyers, told Baltimore Sun that the latest technologies will be integrated to ensure the meals are delivered before the movie starts. The world-case cuisine, prepared in a 5,000-square-foot on-site kitchen, will be served in a fashionable manner, providing patrons with a classy movie and dining experience like never seen before.
The American-gourmet menu features entrees ranging from $14.95 to $28.95, with appetizers from $7.95 to $13.95, 12 beers on tap and 50 wines. The CineBistro is limited to adults-only, which is unlike the traditional cinema that serves all age groups. The theaters are installed with luxury reclining seats, so patrons can get in a comfortable position to enjoy the movie. Tickets will be $15.50, compared to $9.50-$13.50 at the local cinemas in the Baltimore-area. The 4 p.m. matinees will run a few dollars less at $12.50.
A job fair is scheduled for January 5-9 at the Rotunda. For more information visit the Cinebistro.com/rotunda.
