Charm City Meadworks owners Andrew Geffken and James Boicourt have been working diligently for many months to open their new facility in Johnston Square.
In January, Geffken and Boicourt announced plans to expand production to a new 6,500-square-foot warehouse at 407 East Preston Street. The opening, while delayed is an event that is highly anticipated by the owners and employees. The Baltimore Sun reports the company acquired seven properties, all of which were city-owned, on the 300 and 400 blocks of nearby East Biddle Street. Plans for the property include green space, outdoor seating and a future beer garden.
“We had some delays with permitting and working through some things with our landlord, but we’re through pretty much all of that,” Geffken said, per The Baltimore Sun. “Now it’s just a matter of getting the work done.
Just a block from Mount Vernon, visitors can access the facility by foot and bicycle.
