Around 6:30 a.m. on July 20, police responded to a report of a man threatening suicide in the 1000 block of Jeanett Way in Bel Air. Upon arrival, the responding officers found Donna Zaragoza dead inside her home.
Andrew Zaragoza was taken to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of self-inflicted wounds.
According to public defender Tim Bahr, Andrew Zaragoza does not have a prior record, but had suffered emotional, physical and mental abuse throughout his life. In 2016, his father and uncle died of drug overdoses.
