Baltimore To Pay $100K To Settle Sexual Abuse Claims Involving Department Of Transportation

Settlement has been reached in complaints filed by two female traffic enforcement employees, alleging sexual abuse.

According to the board’s agenda, Baltimore officials agreed to pay $100,000 to compensate both women who said they “had been sexually harassed and subjected to offensive unwanted touching by a supervisor.” The agenda does not provide enough details to determine if the supervisor, who is no longer with the Department of Transportation, was named in both cases.

The decision to settle both cases saved taxpayers the expense of costly legal fees.
