Baltimore Police Offer Update In Homicide And Overnight Shootings

Baltimore Police have released updates in several cases from this week. On August 23 at roughly 11:47 PM, patrol officers with the Southwest District were dispatched to the 4400 block of Frederick Avenue. The caller reported hearing gunshots in the area. After arriving at the scene, police found a 23-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the throat. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he has been listed in good condition.

Police believe that the victim was passing by the 4400 block of Frederick Avenue when he was approached by two unidentified suspects. The suspects, who were armed with a gun, attempted to rob the victim. After demanding his property, the victim attempted to flee the scene. He was ultimately shot in the throat, but is expected to survive.

On August 24, 2017 at approximately 5:00 AM, officers with the Southeast District responded to a call for discharging at the 6100 block of Cardiff Road. Upon arriving at the location, another call was received regarding a shooting in the 6100 block of Broening Highway. After arriving at Broening Highway, officers found two gunshot victims, a 27-year-old female and a 30-year-old female. The 27-year-old woman was shot in the back, while the other victim had a gunshot wound to the head.

The victims had transported themselves to a fire station in the 6100 block of Broening Highway and requested help. Both have been transported to the hospital, where they’ve been listed in serious condition.

Finally, the Baltimore Police have identified the victim in a homicide that occurred on August 21 in the 3400 block of Cottage Avenue. The victim was identified as 54-year-old Keith Davis of the 700 block of West Cross Street.
