A total of 172 homicides have been recorded in Baltimore this year, including the two men who were shot and killed in separate incidents Saturday.
Around 4 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2700 block of East Chase Street. Upon arrival, police found a man who had been shot in a parked vehicle in the Biddle Street neighborhood. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
A separate shooting occurred in the 3300 block of Garrison Boulevard around 1:10 a.m. Saturday morning. The victim, a 22-year-old man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No further information is available at the time and the identity of the victim has not been released.
Shortly after midnight Saturday morning, officers discovered a 36-year-old man with gunshot wounds in North Baltimore. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
Police received a report of a shooting in the 400 block of East Preston Street less than a half hour later. A 35-year-old arrived at an area hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot would. Police believe the shooting occurred on Preston Street.
