Baltimore Police Identify Suspect In Fells Point Murder Of Tattoo Artist

Baltimore, Maryland – On January 11, 2018, homicide detectives arrested 29 year-old Michael Bailey of the 2600 block of Ashland Avenue for the December 18th murder of 43 year-old James Forrester.

Murder SuspectBailey has been transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with 1st and 2nd Degree Murder, 1st and 2nd Degree Assault, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Violent Felony, Reckless Endangerment, Handgun on a Person, Discharging a Firearm and Conspiracy to Commit all of these related offenses.

On December 18, 2017, Southeastern District officers were summoned to the 1500 block of Eastern Avenue to investigate an assault.

The victim, James Forrester, was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

Homicide detectives assumed control of the investigation and determined that Forrester had been shot during the physical altercation.

The images of two suspects were captured on surveillance video, one suspect has yet to be identified.
