On Wednesday morning, Baltimore police arrested a man in the 3900 block of Liberty Heights Avenue after breaking into an apartment in the same building he resided in. When police arrived on scene, the man was barefoot and bloody.
A male occupant was at home at the time of the break-in. William Mason, 32, was holding a knife in his hand when he was discovered lying on the man’s kitchen floor. After a struggle, the neighbor ran outside and called the police.
A trail of bloody footprints led back to an apartment that Mason shared with his 23-year-old girlfriend, who was dead inside.
The detectives believe Lambert and Mason were involved in a “heated encounter,” police spokesman Donny Moses said.
Mason was transported to the local precinct, where he is being held without bond.
