Limited access to recall information is the reason why over 550,000 vehicles are still on Baltimore’s roads. A new tool launched by MotorSafety.org will permit owners to utilize their vehicle identification number (VIN) to search for recall status.
The website keeps a collection of the most recent news articles that detail information about vehicle recalls.
If the user discovers a questionable recall with their vehicle, the website will direct them to a certified dealer to deal with the issue.
“In many cases, people aren’t even aware that their car is in recall,” the site said in a statement. “This is a mass public concern that is dangerous not only for owners, but for anyone on the road.”
